Introduction :
Oral diseases affect the majority of the world's population. Chronic gingivitis and periodontitis are the most common, affecting the oral hygiene of these patients. The aim was to assess the oral hygiene of HIV-positive patients on ARV at the outpatient treatment center of the Matam municipal medical center, Conakry (Guinea) 2021.

Methods :
This was a cross-sectional, analytical study that ran from October 1 to December 31, 2021 (3 months). It was based on the observation of lesions and oral hygiene of PLWHA followed up at the outpatient treatment center ((OTC) of the Matam communal medical center.

Results :
A total of 322 patients agreed to take part in our study. Nearly half (47%) had poor oral hygiene, with a mean simplified oral hygiene index (SOHI) of (1.65 ± 1.06). Mean age was 35 ± 13 years, with extremes of 2 and 71. The sex ratio was 2.22. More than half were married (59). The majority had HIV type I (99%). Nearly 92% had oral diseases, the most frequent being oral candidiasis (48%), gingivitis (36%) and periodontitis (9.4%). 92% of patients had decayed teeth, 67% had missing teeth and 2.2% had filled teeth. The overall frequency of caries (OFC) was 93.2%. The average decayed, missing and filled tooth index (CAD) was 10.16±7.14. Age (RCa = 1.03; CI 95%= [1.01-1.05], p=0.005); candidal lesions (RCa=2.03, CI 95%= [1.18 -3.53], p=0.012) ; periodontal lesions (RCa=13, CI 95%= [3,53-85,6], p<0,001), angular lesions of the perlage (RCa =3.56, IC 95%= [1.10-13.9], p=0,044) et yellow tongue (AOR =2.86, CI 95%= [1.13-7.63], p = 0.030), were the factors associated with poor oral hygiene in people living with HIV. On the other hand, patients with non-carious teeth (AOR =0.20, CI 95%= [0.03-0.79], p= 0.044) were 80% less prone to poor oral hygiene.

Conclusion :
Periodontal disease is the most frequent oral manifestation of HIV infection. It is an important early warning indicator for practitioners, and in the majority of cases, oral hygiene remains a cause for concern. Multidisciplinary care with a focus on oral hygiene is necessary. A study with a more representative sample could be carried out in the future.

Intrusive luxation or dental intrusion is a form of axial luxation in which the tooth is pushed into its socket. It is considered one of the most serious types of dental trauma.
The maxilla is most affected during frontal impacts in children. Among the resulting traumas we find complete dislocation, then extrusion and intrusion.
This study reports the case of a 12-year-old child, victim of trauma to the upper right central incisor following a fall during a running session. There was a wound to the lower lip, dermabrasion of the chin and intrusion of the 11.
The panoramic X-ray allowed to assess the degree of intrusion, the periodontal state and the roots of the neighboring teeth. The vitality test was positive.
At the end of the assessment, it was decided to proceed with a surgical repositioning of the 11 using a maxillary incisor forceps then a single-arch retention going from the 14 to the 24. The postoperative course was good and without complications.

With the aim of exploring material alternatives to resin, this work provides a synthesis of publications on the application of PEEK in complete removable prosthesis. A clinical case report of the use of PEEK in the design of complete bi-maxillary removable prostheses was illustrated by a clinical case involving a 56-year-old individual.
It appears from this work that the studies revealed essential information on the general application of PEEK in the manufacture of removable complete denture infrastructures. According to the conclusions drawn from these studies, the use of PEEK offers new alternatives, particularly for patients allergic to conventionally used resins as well as metals. However, further investigations are essential for the use of this new material.

Introduction : Patient satisfaction with prosthetic rehabilitation is a frequently used outcome measure in clinical studies and can also serve as a relevant indicator for evaluating therapeutic success. The management of single-arch edentulism is both common and complex. However, studies addressing patient satisfaction with single-arch rehabilitation are rare.

Objective : The objective of this study was to assess the degree of satisfaction among patients who received single maxillary complete removable dentures at the Department of Removable Prosthetics at the Rabat Consultation and Dental Treatment Center (CCTD).

Materials and Methods : This is a cross-sectional study involving 35 patients of both sexes, conducted between October 1, 2018, and October 1, 2019, at the Removable Prosthetics Department of the CCTD in Rabat. Data from these 35 patients were recorded. A data collection sheet, consisting of two parts (a clinical examination section and a questionnaire section), was used. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 18.0, with the significance level set at 5%.

Results : A total of 35 patients, 80% of whom were women, with an average age of 56.4 ± 8.4 years, were evaluated. In our study, only 51% of patients expressed overall satisfaction. Among them, 51% were satisfied with the functional outcome of their single maxillary complete denture, with the following results: 70% satisfaction for retention, 68% for stability, 65% for phonation, 85% for chewing hard food, and 48% for chewing soft food. Additionally, 85% of our patients reported being satisfied with the aesthetic result of their denture. In 97% of cases, patients were satisfied with the shade and shape of the teeth, 68.6% with the dimension, and 52% with lip support. Gender, age, duration of edentulism, condition of the opposing arch, and Kennedy classification of the opposing arch had no significant effect on patient satisfaction (P?0.05).

Conclusion : Within the limits of this study, these results suggest that rehabilitation of patients with single-arch edentulism can positively impact their oral quality of life.

From monolithic restorations to multi-layered systems, zirconia now offers dentists a diverse range of materials that meet both functional and aesthetic requirements. As research and innovation in this field continue, new enhancements and innovations are expected, thus consolidating zirconia's position as a fundamental material in the dentist's arsenal.
